Terms of Service

The service

Mapvane is a web application for creating commercial real estate map exhibits and trade-area reports. Your subscription (or free trial) gives your workspace access to the features published on our pricing page — flat monthly pricing, no usage meters or credits.

We may improve or change features over time. If we ever discontinue something your workspace relies on, we'll give you reasonable notice and your data stays exportable in open formats throughout.

Your account and workspace

You're responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping credentials secure. Workspace seats are pooled: teammates you invite share the workspace's projects, exhibits, and branding, and you're responsible for who you invite.

You must be authorized to act for the business you sign up on behalf of.

Your content

Everything you upload or create — property data, drawn boundaries, comps, exhibits, branding — is yours. We claim no ownership. You give us only the license needed to store it, render it into the exhibits and share pages you ask for, and back it up.

Public share links you create are viewable by anyone who has the link (plus any password you set). Viewers are unlimited and free; you control links, passwords, expiry, and can disable any link at any time.

You're responsible for having the rights to data you import and for what you publish through share links and exports.

Data sources

Demographic figures come from public U.S. Census Bureau datasets; road networks, addresses, and places come from OpenStreetMap contributors; imagery basemaps come from public tile services. These sources are provided as-is and we don't warrant their accuracy — exhibits include a disclaimer you can customize. Verify independently before relying on any figure in a transaction.

Billing

Paid plans bill through Stripe at the flat prices published on our pricing page — monthly, or annually where an annual price is offered. You can cancel anytime and keep access through the paid period; we don't do long-term contracts or usage-based charges.

Trials are free and don't require payment details. When a trial ends, your data remains exportable.

Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no unlawful content, no attempting to breach other workspaces' data, no scraping or overloading the service or the geocoding it relies on, and no reselling access outside your workspace's seats.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't lawfully be limited.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the account page — deletion cascades through your workspace's data. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.

Changes

If we make material changes to these terms we'll notify account owners by email before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the updated terms.
